As a brand ambassador of Kalyan Jewelers, Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai arrived in Surat along with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan last Saturday. She whereafter inaugurated the new showroom on Ghod-dod road by cutting the ribbon.
Aishwarya Rai was almost besieged by hundreds and thousands of fans who gathered at the venue. The policemen and the security guards had to have their task cut out keeping the fan frenzy in check.
When the 39-year-old actress stepped on the stage, there was a loud roar from the crowd. Ash took the mike and said in Gujarati, “Kem Chho! Maja Maa.” (How are you? Enjoying yourself?) Her daughter Aaradhya did not accompany Aishwarya to the function and rightly so, given the huge crowd that had turned up for the event.
In spite of the fact that her car was gheraoed by the fan, Ash was very excited and warm towards them. She waved at them, smiled at them, and even blew a few kisses.

Since that the film is a romantic comedy, it primarily rides on the shoulders of the featured couple, whose bubbly chemistry has to be the USP of the film. Even if Imran and Kareena’s debut film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu couldn’t do wonders at the box office, their jodi was much appreciated. The trailer of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, which displays the crackling chemistry between Imran and Kareena, will surely attracts the audiences.

The trailer mainly focuses on the couple’s khatta-meetha romance. Check out how a foreign-returned Imran Khan falls for kranti girl Kareena Kapoor. Kareena as Dia Sharma is a firebrand social activist who wanted to change the world.  Whilst Dia felt that you have to be the change that you want to bring about. On the contrary, Imran as Sriram Venkat lives by the mantra jiyo aur jeene do, and loves his cushy life. The couple spilt up, but here comes the twist. Imran Khan plays as the ultimate aashiq in the film,therefore, how could he give up his lover! On the second part of the trailer,  Imran lives a rustic life in a village in order to woo back the desi girl Kareena.

Apart from some amusing one-liners, the background scores of the trailer — Chewing gum and the title track — make it more entertaining. The flick also boasts of good tracks, a few dance numbers included — glimpses are already in the promo.

Madhuri Dixit’s 91-year-old father passed away

Madhuri Dixit-Nene’s 91-year-old father, Shankar Dixit, suffered a prolonged illness, passed away on Friday morning.

Her father’s condition started to deteriorate Thursday night onward and her family accompanyed her father’s side when he breathed his last.

“We’ll miss him but we know he has lived a full life. We thank all those who have offered their condolences and prayers,” Madhuri said in a statement.
The funeral was at 12.30 p.m at a crematorium in Oshiwada.


“The actress’ father was staying with her. He had been unwell for a while and passed away at their Juhu residence in Mumbai,” Madhuri Dixit’s manager said in IANS.

Soon afterwards, a prayer meeting will be organised in a day or two.

Her contemporary Sridevi took to Twitter to offer her condolences.

“Shocked to hear about your father. My condolences to the entire family. RIP Shri Dixit,” she posted.

Aditi Rao Hydari bored with the hoopla around her bikini

Actress Aditi Rao Hydari is fed up with the rumpus around her bikini scene in the upcoming action comedy film “Boss”. She hopes people to begin to treat it as just another garment.

“Actually, the bikini is just another garment. I am sure every girl who swims has worn a bikini in a pool. You do wear a bikini in a pool, you don’t wear a gown! I think the hoopla around a bikini should go away because that is a wrong way to look at it,” she said on Thursday when she was promoting the film at a college.

“It’s just a garment, a very beautiful garment. For a girl, to be happy with her body and her femininity is fine. In fact, I feel that everybody today should grow up and treat a bikini just as any other piece of clothing. I’ve been wearing a bikini since I was a kid, and I was very comfortable,” the 34 years old actress added.

Aditi acknowledges that she suffered a rigid fitness process in order to wear a beautiful bikini.

“They (filmmakers) kept a very nice, closed set, they were very understanding. I worked out for five months and I was only thinking about when will it end and when will I be able to have a slice of pizza,” Aditi said.

“Boss”, directed by Anthony D’Souza, is set to release on October 16. It features Akshay Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, Shiv Pandit, Aditi Rao Hydari and Ronit Roy in lead roles. Shiv Pandit is paired with Aditi.

Shraddha Kapoor to play Shahid Kapoor’s heroine in‘Hamlet’!

According to reports pouring in, Shraddha Kapoor might be cast in Vishal Bhardwaj’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.Vishal has set the ball rolling, and has already finalized Shahid Kapoor as the hero, and the hunt for the heroine was on.

A few days back, a tabloid reported that Shahid recommended Anushka Sharma to Vishal because the duo are good friends ever since they worked in Badmaash Company. Therefore, if the director heeds Shahid’s recommendation, Anushka might just be on board.

However, it seems as if scales have tipped in favour of Shraddha Kapoor currently. The actress has spotted to meet Vishal Bhardwaj and discuss the script. Shraddha more than aspires to cooperate with a director like Vishal, but her dates could be an issue.

“Everything is getting finalised. Shraddha is very keen to work with Vishal. On the other hand, she is also doing a film with Mohit Suri, so she is waiting for things to fall in place,” a source quoted.

Vishal has successfully adapted Bard’s tragedies on big screen, be it Maqbool inspired from Macbeth or Omkara from Othello. At pressent, he has Hamlet on his mind. The movie is expected to go on the floors at the end of this year.
